A day of corn mazes, apple picking, and "ill why they all bumpy"

These are some of my girls! We first went through a corn maze and kept getting lost! Ate lunch, picked some apples! Got some apple cider slushies, carmel apples, and gords! It was much fun!

in indy almost a month

im sitting here four days shy of being in indy! we've had three clubs this week we had 34 girls! it was the biggest group thus far. at times i miss home my family and friends in pa then i am reminded that God has a purpose for me here in Indy these girls he has placed under my care. i must share a prayer request i have one little girl who is 8 years old her name is Nadia (na-day-a) she is my most challenging girl. please God will give me wisdom as i know how to reach her. she is very angry and mean to others, very disrespectful, and disruptive. i appreciate your prayers! thank you so much! i am adjusting well i now have a computer and a phone in my office praise God now i can communicate with the outside world :) well must be going!

First Night of Club!!!

Hello faithful readers,
Last night was the first night of club. It went very well. At times I felt a bit frazzeled but it wroked out. This week i shared the rules, the volunteers shared things about themselves, then we broke up into small groups and the girls answered ???'s about themselves and then I shared them with the group. We then went to gym and after gym we had snack. Please be in prayer as I tweek the schedule and figure out how to arrange the girls in small groups. I have a few girls who are little pistols and I will have to be on them to watch their attitudes and their behavior! There are two girls for sure that I am going to have help me they will be my verse leaders or song leaders! These girls I know have made professions and are going to be 10 this year! Well I have to be going must to go into the office for a little while!

im sitting here in my friends apartment hardly believing tomorrow i begin my ministry with my 7-9 year old girls!!! so im moved in and all set up cant post pictures because i forgot my usb cable but i took amazing pics of fireworks saturday night! please bei n prayer as i continue searching for volunteers, seek the Lord, and resist the devil!!!

Faithful God

I have been given a car! What an amazing story --

Our church is going through some changes amazing changes and some that need lots of prayer so the church body was asked to join the leaders in a day of prayer and fasting on Friday August 10th then we could finish the day by coming to the prayer meeting at 7pm. I started praying for the church and I felt led to walk around the church and lay hands on different signs that represent the different ministries that i prayed for. I came back into the church and prayed over the pulpit and the communion table and the alters then sat back down and thought to myself I need to start praying for Indiana. Just as I finished the thought a lady came to me and asked:

"Are you the girl looking for the car?" I said "Yes I am" She the proceeded to tell me the Christian school she works for wants to donate me a car. It is a 1990 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser It holds nine passangers! It will fit all my belongings!

I am praising God It is a boat but it will get me to Indiana. Once I get to Indiana I will have to look for a car before winter because it is a carabrated engine which means I have to pump the gas before starting the car for the fuel to get to the engine then once its started then it feeds from the tank! But in the winter because its so much colder its going to take much longer!

But for now it gets me around :) Im praising God! I call it my God-Mobile!!

well i have been offered the job at wheeler and I have accepted the position. i will be out there by August 27th. i cant believe this is really happening i have longed to be involved in full time ministry (life is ministry) but you know what i mean. im going to have a job where i do kingdom work all the time. im so pumped!! i will be over the 7-9 year old girls. im amazed at the peace i have i still have no car and yet to figure out the details of housing but i know my covenant partner has a plan and im trusting but doing all i can do. the car im using now is coming home tomorrow from being in the garage the serpetine belt broke or should i say shredded and a piece or two got lodged in between the timing belt so it would start but she's all better now!! i will be in need of a car so be in prayer for that whole situation please thank!!! more to come later . . .

interview -- friday -- noon !!!!!

i have a second interview at a minisrty in Indianapolis! please be praying that God will work out the details if this is what is His will i trust He has a way! yes he does! please join me in prayer that God will show me where He is directing me! thank you all very much!

well i have met with two of the three boys i will be working with. one we are teaching how to verbalize his wants and needs. he repeats what we say, sometimes we give him choices, and other times he uses a little box that he types a sentence and it says it for him. we also work on his social skills. the other one has social issues he isolates himself when he is a group of people. i'll be going to camp with him for the next five weeks. the third one i'll meet this week. he has severe autism and non-verbal.
God has been reminding me how blessed i am to have an amazing church who teaches the truth! Currently my pastor is preaching through a series called "Growing Up Messed Up" today was about searching for love. Pastor Tim preached on the (Samaratian) Woman at the Well, how she searched for love through the many relationships she had. Jesus is the only one who can fill the God shaped hole in our hearts/souls. The worship was amazing too!
My life has been blessed with an amazing Christian family who has been my second family for the last few months. i have not had the privledge of growing up in a home that is glorifying to God. it gives me great encouragement to watch this family live their lives full of trust and obedience as they are following God to seminary. i appreciate the love and support they have shown me. God has been challenging me to do the same -- live a life that is full of trust and obedience and truth.

time for an update

things have been well a struggle at times! hours at work have decreased because the boys are not in school any longer one will be going to summer school. i just got a new case another little boy this one has autism he is turning six in august. im excited something new and challenging! my best friend here in pa is moving in two weeks her husband is going to seminary they have two little girls. helping her pack, paint furniture, yard sell, fills my day when im not working. God has blessed me with the opportunity to get to know this family :) my sister is changing from a perfectly safe daycare to a private baby sitter if you think about this please lift the kids up because there are so many red flags about this lady and the surroundings! But God is God everywhere! there are some things going on in my life i would greatly appreciate prayer for 1. i would break free of my past! 2. i would follow God's leading fully trusting in his providence!

i have started my new job this week. I have met the two boys that i'll be working with.Mostly i'll be in school with both of them. but some hours will be in home
this week i have been doing my shaddowing/training. next week i'll start by myself. i have 20 hours with each so i have a full time job in the field i love doing

God's so good
He gives so many blessings
Undeserving -- thats what we are
We ought thank Him love and praise Him
Alot today and a whole lot more tomorrow!

Peyton Marie!!!

this cutie is Peyton Marie Dickinson! She needs your prayers! Tomorrow Tuesday April 17th she is going in for a cat scan of her head and brain. She has what doctors assume to be a mass on her lymph node at the base of her skull! This has been extremely hard on the family as they are trying to get their house ready for the market, preparing for seminary, etc... Satan is trying to sift them like wheat but Jesus is praying for them They have the victory in Christ! Please uplift the Dickinson Family in your prayers as they wait for the results! thank you so much!

a woman of discipline!!!

well here it is ladies and gentlemen:
here are the results of four hours of discipline --thats right four hours! it was a tornado for probably four months as well!

God has placed a great source of encouragement/exhortation in my life recently and together we are striving to become women of discpline in every area that lacks. this area that for sure lacks discipline but i put some music on and cleaned away -- throwing a majority of it out or putting it in bags for goodwill!

i must say i am very proud of myself!

another new job . . .

yes it is true i left the job i had for a month because they had no hours for me to work.i took the same position but a different agency!be praying for me the week of april 3rd thru the 11th i will be traveling about 55 miles away for training!

Colossians 3:1-3
"If then you were raised with Christ seek those things which are above where Christ is sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above not on things on earth. For you died and your life is hidden with Christ in God."

Because our lives are hidden with Christ in God (covenant) we are eternally secure, protected from all spiritual enemies, and have access to all God's blessings. I know this may seem like a simple truth but WOW I stand amazed! Remember to rest in the Lord and His hesed (loving kindness or mercy)!

bored snowy day

well i was bored and couldnt think of my other blogspot site so i made a new one! i dont really post anything at my other sites i just have myspace for connecting with people. i think this one will be my journey with God what im learning, battling, challenging, etc... hope you enjoy!
